Valiev is quick to get back to his feet and separate, but then immediately shoots in for a takedown of his own that is completed.
Shore catches a kick, answers with a punch, and uses his forward momentum to get a takedown. Round 2 – The action picks up quickly in the second, as Valiev comes out firing. MMA Junkie scores the first round 10-9 Valiev. Shore answers back with a kick before the round ends. Valiev goes to the body, then the head with punches. Pressing Valiev against the cage, Shore looks for a punch but Valiev separates. Shore doesn’t stay down long though, and keeps with the clinch on the feet. Shore goes back to his quick leg kicks, but Valiev catches the second one and uses it to get a takedown. After a brief stop, they return to action in the center of the cage. Valiev lands a knee that goes south and the referee pauses the action. Valiev catches a right kick from Shore and uses it to initiate a clinch. Shore lands another leg kick, then a body kick, but Valiev answers with a kick of his own. Shore lands a right leg kick, followed by a left high kick that is blocked. Valiev swings with a big overhand right and just misses, Shore returns with a punch of his own. A quick clinch by Shore, but he bails on it. Round 1 – Shore takes the center of the cage and they begin sizing each other up. Reed keeps it standing though, and the fight concludes. Reed just misses with a hard right hand against the fence and McKenna grabs a clinch, looking for a takedown. Reed connects again with a nice punch, but this time McKenna lands as well. A moment later, Reed lands a nice combination and McKenna stumbles back. Reed gets her feet on the hips, pushes off, and they return to the feet. McKenna lands a couple of punches from the top. Reed is able to get her in guard, and McKenna looks to land punches. McKenna dips down for a takedown and takes the fight to the mat. They move about the cage and then trade punches as Reed controls the center. Round 3 – Reed starts the action in the final round with a quick combination of punches. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Reed. She gets it, but Reed pops right back up and the round ends. Reed lands two leg kicks and McKenna shoots in for another takedown with 10 seconds left. Reed darts in and lands another right hand. They trade punches with Reed landing a hard left and McKenna answering back with one of her own. McKenna jabs and follows it with the left head kick, but doesn’t quite get all of it. Reed presses forward and lands another right hand. Reed shakes her head after a punch from McKenna lands. McKenna is light on her feet and darts in for a quick one-two. McKenna lands the left jab as she circles around. A punching exchange soon follows, with both landing good shots. Reed goes back to the right hand, followed by a leg kick a moment later. McKenna sits on a two-punch combination, but only lands the first punch. Round 2 – They trade leg kicks to start the second. Reed lands a hard right hand in an exchange and the round comes to an end. On top in guard, McKenna lands a couple of punches to the body and a hard elbow before they return to the feet. After adjusting, McKenna lifts Reed up with a high-crotch and drops her to the mat. Reed lands a quick front kick and McKenna shoots in for a takedown, resulting in a clinch against the fence. The crowd starts to get into it and a wild exchange of punches occurs. They trade punches, with both just missing the mark on flush contact.
A leg kick from Reed is answered by a quick two-punch combo from McKenna. A big right hand lands for Reed again, but McKenna eats it. Reed then goes high with a kick, followed by a side kick to the body as McKenna presses forward. Round 1 – They touch gloves and Reed immediately lands a stiff right hand.
